McIntosh College Presents Six-Week Art Workshop for the Dover Community Senior Center

Dover, NH – (January 25, 2008) McIntosh College will be presenting a six-week watercolor/color pencil workshop at the Dover Community Senior Center, McConnell Center, located at 61 Locust Street in Dover, NH starting on Friday, January 25th.

The workshops will be held on Fridays from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm starting the 25th and continuing through Friday, February 29th. The attendees of the workshop will be members of the McConnell Center. More than 12 artists have signed up for the workshop to date.

“It’s a lot of fun to introduce a new method of creation for the artist,” instructor and assistant professor of graphic design from McIntosh College, Libby Chase, said, “it gives the senior citizens a chance to relax and have fun while learning and creating.”

On January 4th, a demonstration in the process of creating a piece of artwork from an image or photograph to a final piece using watercolor pencils, watercolor brushes and layering color pencil on top was held for members of the McConnell Center. All instruction and materials have been donated by McIntosh College.
