The display, presented by the Gingerbread Architecture Society at McIntosh Atlantic Culinary Academy, was created by four students and one chef instructor. The five- by three-foot gingerbread house took over 40 hours to complete and is 100% edible. The students and chef used 40 pounds of gingerbread, 200 pieces of candy and 40 pounds of confection sugar to develop the holiday piece and is valued at over $500.

Julie-Lynn Belon, events manager for Kittery Trading Post said, “What a great way to give back to the community by offering our customer the chance to see a wonderful gingerbread display provided by the McIntosh Atlantic Culinary Academy during the holidays. The work that these students do is unbelievable with their knowledge and expertise and we are proud to showcase their talents.”
