McIntosh College was founded in 1896 by A.D. Bliss as the Dover Business College. In 1902, it was purchased by David McIntosh, CPA, and given its present name. In 1958, the College was incorporated under the laws of the State of New Hampshire and since 1967 it has been authorized by the General Court of the State of New Hampshire with the approval of the Post-Secondary Education Commission to confer upon its graduates the Associate Degree in Business Science. In 1999, McIntosh College joined Career Education Corporation, which owns schools throughout the United States and the world, including schools in London, France, Canada and Dubai.
