McIntosh College, A Career Education College

Clubs & Organizations

McIntosh College supports a variety of social clubs, organizations, and other extracurricular activities designed to enhance and enrich your educational experience at the college.

New clubs and organizations are continually being created and developed at our college in New Hampshire. Interested students are encouraged to inquire at the college about existing, as well as new clubs and organizations, in addition to specific requirements of membership. The following is a brief listing of several current clubs and organizations:

This club prepares students for the world of outdoor cooking: BBQ, Native American Pit Cooking, Luau and The New England Clambake.

Our team of elite students practices weekly for American Culinary Federation medal events throughout the Northeast and beyond.

Delta Epsilon Chi (DEX)
McIntosh College supports a college chapter of Delta Epsilon Chi, a business association that stresses leadership development and community involvement. DEX projects include a variety of business and environmental activities, social outings, and academic excellence contests.

Design Club
The major goal of the Design Club is for members to interact with the design community through various projects and events; this provides a venue for students to network and investigate career opportunities in the graphic design field. The Design Club also seeks to strengthen ties to the local community by providing design services to non-profit and charitable organizations.

French Cultural Club
French chefs guide our students through the culinary and cultural heritage of France through regional dinners, film, and field trips.

Herb & Gardening Club
This club maintains an herb and heirloom vegetable garden, as well as a Shiitake log and an apiary. They also sponsor seedling sales and agricultural education.

Home Brewing Club
Fun and Science join forces to make home-brewed beer, ale and stout. Non-alcohol brews, like root beer, are also featured.

Ice Carving Club
Year-round activities involve students in elaborate ice carving for local social and charitable events.

International Travel Club
Promotes travel with a twist for culinary students: plans are being made for ventures to Thailand, Bordeaux, Tuscany and Mexico.

Math Club
The Math Club is aimed at students with varying degrees of Math ability. On one end, it is a tutoring aide for students with a need for Math help. On the other end, it is an advanced tool for students interested in Math. In the middle, it is a Club offering games, logic problems and contests for those that have a passion for the Math discipline.

Medical Assisting Organization
The purpose of the Medical Assisting Organization (MAO) is to be dedicated to following the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Code of Ethics and to know and follow the Creed of Medical Assistants. In addition, the club will provide the opportunity to network with other medical assisting students, to converse about courses, job opportunities, balancing family/job with the demands of College and discuss volunteer projects within the community.

Paralegal Association
The Paralegal Association is an educational, service-oriented, social organization. Students participate in educational excursions to various federal and state courthouses in the New England region for the purpose of observing judicial proceedings. In addition, the members organize fundraising drives for charitable entities. Students also network with one another about professional issues and career opportunities in the field.
